2016 Goals.

NEW YEAR NEW ME? Really? Maybe this is the year where this saying is true. Or maybe this is the year I continue to be my lipstick loving, tea drinking, weird old self. Probably that last one. The whole 'new year new me' makes me giggle, everyone says it but does it really happen? Let's be honest, I've said it nearly every year and nothing has changed. But for some reason I feel like 2016 could be a bit different. Looking back on my 2015 resolution post I feel like I've achieved one thing on that list. And to be honest I'm still not sure whether I completely achieved it. So this year, I'm going to be realistic. I want to change certain things in my life and find something that keeps me motivated and determined. By creating a list of goals, I can look back on at the end of the year and see if I possibly have achieved them. Let's be positive (I really struggled to spell positive right there, what a great start)

1. Drink more water.
Water is one of the most important things you could include in your daily routine. I remember a few years ago I went through a stage of constantly drinking water every day and it made my skin look amazing. Like, I'm not meaning to brag or anything but it looked pretty damn good. I want to get back into that. Drink 2 litres of water a day and I should be in tip top condition. Not exactly but I seriously want my skin to look less dull and just feel better in myself.

2. Be healthy.
So, this was in my 2015 resolutions and it's safe to say it didn't really happen. This year it will. When I go back to uni I'm going to start doing healthy shops, planning my meals and cutting all the crappy food I used to eat and start a fresh. I've already made a list of food to buy but also food that I am not allowed to eat. I'm going to be strict with myself.

3. Get fit.
Yes I will become a January gym joiner. BUT I don't want to be one of those people that stops going after a month and wastes a gym membership. Let's prove people wrong! I don't do any exercise and that is a serious problem. Yeah I walk everywhere but I can't just class that as exercise. I've never been a sporty person put going to a gym 3 or 4 times a week will get me back to the person I was when I used to dance. I never usually feel rubbish about myself or my body but recently I really have been. I don't know why but I just feel like there is nothing about my body that I like and I want to change that.

4. Be adventurous with makeup.
I don't mean false eyelashes, bright green eyeshadow and heavy contour everyday. I mean, I love a good contour but I want to experiment with different make up. Having a makeup addiction is an expensive obsession but now I have a job I can KIND OF afford it a bit more than I used to.I don't own many high end products but this Christmas I luckily received some as gifts and it has made me want to go out and buy more. I want to be more confident and learn more about makeup.

5. Take care of my nails.
I have a love/hate relationship with my nails and to be honest, it's mainly due to laziness. I go through stages where I paint my nails constantly and keep them in good shape but sometimes I just, to put it bluntly, can't be arsed. I'm so impatient when it comes to drying my nails that I just sack the whole thing off. But I've decided that I'm going to pay a lot more attention to the little things. By keeping them in good condition and going to get them done professionally I'll be a bloody hand/nail model before you know it.

6. Go to a festival.
Bit of a random one. I reaaaaally want to go to a festival. I get so jealous in the summer when I see photos of everyone at festivals. Me and some of the girls from uni have been saying for ages that we want to go to one so let's hope that this is the year!

7. Take better photos.
I love photography. Ever since I was given my camera a couple of years ago I've been loving taking much better photos. My blog photography has (hopefully) gotten better, even if it's not the best. I want to take a lot more care of my photos, research into things and make them a lot better than they are now. I want to make my Instagram better in terms of the content and photo quality. I think photos are such an important part of life as they capture the best memories.

8. Create a better blog.
I had this on my 2015 goals as well and I feel like I've improved over the past year when it comes to this little baby. I love writing and fashion and beauty are my passion. I would love for my blog to grow but I want to make it something that I'm extremely proud of. I know that'll mean hard work and dedication but I'll do it, I want to create better content, include more fashion bits and interact with more bloggers out there. I started this years ago and I want to make it something that, when I'm older, I'll back on and love.

9. Start YouTube.
Guess what? This was in my 2015 goals too. I've been saying for ages that I want to start a YouTube channel and I've been told my boyfriend and my parents to do it. I'm just so nervous. And I'm so rubbish with computers, editing will just confuse me. We'll see what happens ey?

10. Take every day as it comes and believe in myself.
I'm the type of person that just doesn't believe in themselves. I seriously think I'm going to fail at everything or it won't come out just how I want it. I want to stop thinking that and be more optimistic. I don't want to be thinking about how rubbish tomorrow is going to be or how much of a busy week I'll have next week. Take each day as it comes and see what happens. I worry and stress far too much and that is such a massive downfall for me. I take my stress out on the people closest to me and I don't want to do that anymore. STRESS-FREE CHARLOTTE COMING YOUR WAY.

What are your goals for 2016?
