MAC 'Vegas Volt'

Hello!

This is the first post I've done using my new DSLR camera I got for Christmas. I'm not a professional photographer and I'm still getting used to it so bear with me!

I love MAC lipsticks and I've realised I've started to create a little collection. I have a feeling I'm going to be a MAC lipstick hoarder or something! But anyway, I love everything about them and the colours are amazing. I bought Vegas Volt, which is a bright red, sort of coral colour. I have to admit, I've never been a 'red lipstick girl', I'm more into the pink and nude colours. I used to think red was such a daring colour and I thought I would never pull it off. To be honest, since I bought this lipstick I've been getting used to having red on my lips and it's not as scary as I thought!

Okay, onto the details! Vegas Volt is part of the amplified collection and it does exactly that! The colour is so strong that it really does make your lips look amplified. It is such a bold colour and is great for nights out and making a statement look! The lipstick applies so smoothly and feels very moisturising. This is a good thing as I find with some lipsticks don't have a nice smooth texture and when they dry it doesn't feel great on the lips; it feels quite rough. This lipstick does exactly the opposite. My favourite thing about MAC lipsticks is how long lasting they are. Usually when I wear lipsticks they fade so quickly, however, with this lipstick, no matter what I do it stays on all day which is perfect! At a price of £14.00, it is so worth it!

So, maybe I am becoming a 'red lipstick girl.' I've fallen in love with this lipstick and have been wearing it a lot lately.

Have you tried Vegas Volt? What do you think? What other MAC lipsticks do you love? Let me know!

2012, what a year...

Hello!

Happy new year everyone! 2012 has been an amazing year and my favourite year so far! So many things have happened and so many memories have been made and within the space of 12 months, a lot has changed! It's just weird to think how different things were at the beginning of last year to what they are now and I can't wait to see what 2013 brings (getting a bit soppy, I know)

I've picked out some of my highlights from 2012 so I hope you enjoy this post. Let's go!

Stevie's 16th

Back in April, my friend Stevie had a fancy dress party for her 16th birthday. I have to say it was one of my favourite parties of the year. I dressed up as Mickey Mouse and I had so much fun making up the costume! It was such a good night and I think the fact that everyone was in costume made it even better. This is just one of the many parties that have happened this year and all of them have been unreal!

Prom

Prom was one of the best nights of my entire life! I loved spending it with my favourite people and it was kind of the last time our whole year group was together. Seeing everyone all dressed up was great and everyone looked gorgeous. I really wish I could go back to this night because everything about it was perfect! I loved getting ready for it too; doing my hair and make-up and putting on my dress. Then when everyone came round it was great to get photos together with my closest friends.

Skiathos

Skiathos was amazing! One of my favourite holidays! I went with my family in July as I had just finished my GCSE's so I had a long summer to look forward too! The weather, food, hotel, people were just amazing! I got the best tan I've had on this holiday too, was soooo pleased! I would definitely go back to Skiathos and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Whithaugh

In September, as part of a sixth form bonding trip, we all went to Whithaugh Park in Scotland where we did loads of activities such as, kayaking, abseiling, zip wiring etc. We were there for 3 days and it was unreal! I didn't really expect it to be good to be honest and I was really surprised at how amazing it was! All of the instructors were so lovely and everyone got on so well. Definitely organising another trip to Whithaugh soon!

Friends

Okay, so this is probably going to sound cheesy but I'm just going to say it. Spending this year with my friends has been amazing! We've done so much together and have grown so close that we've all became best friends. They're the closest friends to me and I couldn't have imagined this year without them! I usually hate cheesiness but this had to be said!

2012 has had its ups and downs just like any other year, but in my opinion, it has been the best year of my life. I really hope 2013 is going to be better and even more memories will be made. I want to make resolutions but I never keep them so I'm just going to leave them for this year and see what happens!

Hope you all have an amazing year!
