The 'Golden Sugar' Palette by Makeup Revolution

At the moment, Makeup Revolution have really pushed the right buttons when it comes to their products. For the past year, I've found myself going more towards their stand in Superdrug more than other drugstore brands and this still continues. All of their products are so affordable but also great quality meaning I don't have to worry too much about hurting my bank balance and enjoying the little beauties I take home with me in that little pink carrier bag. Makeup Revolution have really upped their game in the past few months and their stands in Superdrug have expanded meaning more products are easily available. I have to admit, my local Superdrug didn't have the best of stands but I still managed to find some little gems. However, when I visited a couple of weeks ago, this had completely changed. All of the products which I had dreamed of buying when I looked on their website (when I was actually meant to be revising, woops) were all in store and I may have got a little bit excited. I had spotted this 'Golden Sugar' palette on their website and instantly fell in love and when I saw it standing their in store I instantly picked it up and it's safe to say I wasn't disappointed.

First of all, I love the packaging. The simple, glossy black palette with rose gold lettering is just beautiful. Simple, but effective. Inside there is a huge mirror, perfect for on the go and travelling! There are 7 shimmery highlight shades with one matte bronzer. All of the shades are very pigmented so you don't need too much when you apply meaning that it will last a long time. The highlight shades are a range of bronze, gold and pink colours which you could use for normal highlighting or even as an eyeshadow colour. They are very pigmented, however, so a little really goes a long way. The first time I tried this palette I put a little too much on my brush and ended up looking a bit like a vampire from Twilight but I've learnt my lesson! The highlighters really remind me of the Hourglass powders, where it has a mixture of colours running through them to give off a beautiful effect. These shades last all day and don't tend to wipe off or fade away which is perfect! As well as the highlighters, I've also loved the bronzer for a subtle contour. It's not the most pigmented of bronzers I've used but is perfect for a natural bronzed look.

This palette comes in at £8 which I think is amazing value for the quality of the product! You can buy them online or from your local Superdrug store!
